Hi from the French countryside 🌳 Funny enough I'm back to where I wrote the last review (and I skipped one - woops). It does indeed feel like the end of a cycle, and also a gentle transition towards what's beyond this absolutely epic summer.
When I arrived to Amsterdam in the end of September 2023 I had three wishes:
to pass my sailing school with flying colours
to take my career to the next level
to find a relationship
It's a very nice feeling to witness wishes coming true.
Let's start from the middle.
I hosted my first sailing expedition on a 30 metre ship Chateauroux and it was the perfect confirmation of what I knew intuitively - sailing ships are an incredible space to gather people and host transformative events.

This particular adventure brought together a crew of Burners. As a co-captain of Sheepy Ship, a Nowhere Camp providing a meeting point for sailors in the Burner Community, it was totally in the cards to host a Boat Burn some time some. And it was not a coincidence to host it on Chateauroux - a ship that was my home during the time at Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool.
As the voyage came to an end I felt proud, complete, and very very happy - many pieces came together and it seems like I have a prototype of a working model for organising sailing trips on bigger ships.
Here's the retrospective article from Muddy Tales, the epic voyage and a dream coming true.
In the meantime my land life is also experiencing delightful harvest - I have finally printed the first 101 copies of "How To Build A Regenerative Village" - a result of a mastermind where I prototyped a collaborative book writing methodology with Cards as the primary medium.
It feels so fucking good to close this cycle. The book was in version 0.9 for a very long time with no energy for the final push.
Motivated by the upcoming Gathering of Tribes where I'm bringing the book, and the next edition of the book writing mastermind (October 2024 in Switzerland - last 3 spots left) focused on the topic of semi-nomadic lifestyle, I got together with Daneel for one of our famous Smash Seshs - where shit gets done at a redonculous (beyond ridiculous) speeds. Nailing the print format took some time, but it was totally worth it.
And I guess I'm a published author now, along with 30 friends 😅
You can get the book via Open Collective. There's a pdf, a softcover with personal collection (arrange it with me), and also an option with a worldwide delivery.

What about cards, Michał, I hear some of you ask. How is that going?
Well, there's some updates on that front as well, reflected in the updated website and the constantly growing thread of cards on twitter.
Before leaving Amsterdam I had the pleasure to host two sessions of Wild Cards Journey infused with sonic mastery of Brian, my Shaman and travel buddy in this epic summer.
Adding the live music component to Cards is a total game-changer, and I finally feel ready for galleries and art spaces in Europe. Next session - Gathering of Tribes.
Yeah, it's totally an epic summer.
What's next?
September - Portugal
October - Switzerland
November - ...
My next energy focus goes into finding a sailing ship for this winter to complete my practical training for the commercial license for sailing ships up to 500 GT. I still have 3 (out of 6) months left.
There's some other exciting ideas bubbling all around, and let's keep them bubbling until the right ship finds me.
Perhaps this one?
Wishing you a delightful new cycle!
Michał
ps. Bonus - a musical I got introduced to that blew my mind - Hamilton. SO GOOD 🌟
pps. I've setup a microblog on telegram to experiment with a different format. Feel free to drop by 👀
Loving life as much as you it's a great joy to read your adventures. I would love to go on a sailing adventure. It has been a dream of mine for a long time but when I read the muddy tales I felt, that's that was the real thing, the one I have been waiting for. I saw Hamilton in a London theater, blew us away. Still in love with the soundtrack! Can't wait to go sailing with you
So much epicness, Michal! Bravo on getting the book over the finish line!
⭐️🏁 👏👏👏👏🔥❤️
