Where Wizard Michał finally answers the Call.
Hello my dear Friend, and happy remaining of this Moon Cycle. Thank you for Being here. If you're wondering what your Wizard friend was up to, well... there are some News to share.
First of all:
I just enrolled into Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool - to become a professional sailor with a license for Tall Ships, like the one in the courtyard of the school:
I have been dreaming of sailing (and tall ships) since I was a kid, and yet I kept postponing it the dream for many years. During a recent moment of Soul Searching it became clear to me that I am again at a cross-roads facing a Choice - to pursue my Dream, or let go of it.
Both Paths are perfectly valid, and I know that I will be Happy whichever way I choose. And yet, it's quite clear to me that the Ocean keeps calling. I mean, I keep crying every time I sing a shanty, or watch a film about sailing. It’s quite cute really. When I look at my journals from 6 years ago, the sailing pages are so powerful and alive. And all my journals are covered with little boats... The signs are all around. It's time to surrender.
So yes, I'm moving to the Netherlands for 6 months from Mid October. Godspeed.

The challenge is to raise necessary funds, as I will need to devote a significant chunk of time to study, and the costs of living in the Netherlands are significantly higher than in Pico Island.
My next months are pretty much focused on that.
I've been funded by Enspiral to produce a series of podcasts exploring different sides of weaving a decentralised organisation. These conversations turned out to be really precious - I highly recommend scanning through the topics, especially if you're interested in the future of work. I’m hoping for another co-budget round so I can have a budget to make more.
I've updated my Patreon page and created a clear focus for it - creating open source documentation. It is something I love doing, and I get amazing feedback for doing it, and I have quite a body of work by now. It's time to invite people to support creating more of it. If you'd like to support me as a friend with a recurring chunk of cash - this is probably the best way 💜.
I'm stepping into the role of a Catalyst Wizard. You can't hide from your identity. I am a wizard, and I am a catalyst. At the moment I am supporting two friends to finish writing their books. If you and/or your organisation is interested in having me as your personal Catalyst Wizard - ping me. I'm here to help you move the energy and I'm freaking good at it! Some people even want to turn me into a Bot (which I don't consent to, btw, sorry AI.)
There is also a game - Prioritise Priorities - and I've been really enjoying onboarding another player recently. I'm building up the game into it's next iteration - including a tailor-made deck of beautiful cards to unhinge you whenever you need. Down to play some cards together?
What else?
Well, I completed my non-negotiable commitment to do 101 consecutive days of yoga, and I've decided to increase the number to 125 💪.
I've been learning about forest management and permaculture. Some of it includes removing beautiful, yet nasty invasive species from trees. Nothing quite like spending hours in the forest walking around barefoot with a machete. My Wild Self enjoys it very much ⤵
I’ve started growing my own food - to practice learning by doing. For now it's just radish, because the key is to start small and get easy wins to build up motivation and confidence 🌱.
I’m helping a dear friend in the island to build his tiny house - it's the first one being built by our Island Family, and it's super cool to be learning all the steps.
