Happy Full Moon!
A few days ago I went to the South of Portugal to connect with a friend and integrate lessons from a powerful tree-planting gathering. I also did my first Tarot reading for another person, and I feel that in the context of what I have been experiencing in the past months, it's very appropriate to open this Moonly review with it.
The question (paraphrased for context):
We see the absurdities of the covidian authoritarian regime, and yet many succumb to the propaganda of fear and sacrifice their values for convenience. As our freedom gets sucked out to drive profit, will we ever be free?
It feels like an important question to ask.
Tarot might not be scientific, but it's yet another lens that can be applied to facilitate the sense-making process. It's a map of reality, with a certain filters applied to it. It is not "good" or "bad", but at times might provide a valuable insight. And in my humble opinion the reading that happened that day was spot-fucking-on.
Note: I'm not very proficient in Tarot, and my interpretation is based on intuition and "A Guide to Tarot Card Meanings" by Mark McElroy. Thanks, Mark.
The Present: The Lovers
Love, passion, unity, choice
I admit that the Lovers showed up quite unexpectedly, but on reflection it makes perfect sense.
In it's light we see bringing people together, connecting heart-to-heart and making well-informed decisions for the benefit of all. In the shadow there's disrupting unity, separation and working against the best interests of all.
In my interpretation, covidian policies create extreme separation (isolation, masks, social distancing) and hyper polarisation around the covid vaccine. In the same time, they also emphasize the need to connect heart-to-heart and body-to-body and accelerate the process of people coming together to create a new reality, based on Love instead of Fear.
Where there is shadow, there is light.
The photo from the closing ceremony of the Gathering I took part in. I'm not sure who took the photo, but I'm deeply grateful for it. The land in the background is where we planted one thousand trees 🌳.
The Future: The Tower
Demolition, upheaval, deconstruction, disaster, destruction
The Tower is my favourite card in Tarot. It's about breaking out of old, confining habits and mindsets and clearing the space for something new to emerge. In it's shadow, The Tower brings up clinging to old patterns and engaging in willingful blindness. Rejecting the evidence that change is needed. Maliciously engaging in destructive behaviour.
We see how absurd our global oneculture and capitalist system is. We're spending billions on going into space rather than regenerating the Earth that has everything we need to thrive. We're drowning ourselves in plastic. We're hamsters proppeling the wheel of a system we don't believe in because we don't have time to think. Not all of us, of course, but way too many. In our brief few thousands years of existance our culture fucked up big time.
Dully noted. It's time to create something new, and we're already doing it.
In my interpretation, what's coming our way is the most potent time in the brief history of our culture. It's time for embodying and implementing bold changes, on a global, local and personal level. The process most likely won't be easy or plesant, but it's the most precious opportunity we've been given and we have the real potential to create something beautiful together.
It's time to let go of Fear.
A message from the future, channeled by a Beautiful Soul, and gifted to me to never forget.
What archetype shall we embody for the benefit of all beings? : The Star
Hope, optimism, openess, certainty, faith, longing, truth
I keep meeting people who are already living in an alternative culture.
A culture based on openess, honesty, vulnerability, kindness, sharing, heart-to-heart connections, and most importantly: making big and beautiful dreams a reality for the benefits of All Beings.
Dreamers. Creators. Lovers. Elders.
One of them said: "It's easy to become old. The challenge is to become Elder."
Being exposed to so many wonderful Beings of Light over the last month, I feel that the tribe of Elders is growing strong, making it clear that the current oneculture is simply obsolete. While our minds might still not know all the technicalities of the alternatives we're co-creating, our hearts feel the path. As we share, openly and from the heart, more and more people come closer to the light we're all radiating in the darkness, bringing more and more light to this wonderful world.
Perhaps, we don't need a revolution.
All we need to do is shine ✨.
I couldn't believe the relevance of the last word in this paragraph about The Star in the “Tarot Card Guide”.
Let's Make Dreams A Reality
Spending a few days in Traditional Dream Factory, planting thousand trees during the Primal Gathering, and connecting with wonderful Beings, feels like a climax of a cycle of my life that is now ending.
It was a beautiful journey and I have learned a lot, but somewhere in the process I've distanced myself from my Dreams. The big, meaningful ones.
I felt sad at times, but I can see now, that it was a necessary part of the process, in order to learn how to overcome perfectionism, be still, and create from a place of deep, heart-felt connection with myself and the Universe.
As I write this words on my last day in Lisbon before coming back to the tiny wooden cabin in the magical forest of Pico Island ready to begin the new cycle, I feel deeply emotional, grateful and excited for what's coming. In fact, I can feel a little tear slowly dripping down my cheek, which is quite unusual for me.
It's time to shine and make dreams happen.
It's not only possible.
It's the only thing that makes sense.
