Greetings from the Cabin, Dear Friend.
I went to Faial on the Full Moon, and as always, the hyper energy of Pico's neighbouring island charged me with possibilities. I'm back with a tangible possibility of building a Creative Village, along with a possible land to do it and the core team.
As I'm sinking deep into myself (as it tends to happen in Winter) I'm realising that while I definitely want to be based in the Triangle of the Azorean Archipelago, it is important for me to be immersed in an environment that encourages co-creative expression. I love Pico Island and my family here with a passion, but I do struggle with lack of play partners, and somehow this need seems to be met quite easily in the neighbouring island.
Example:
I went to an art exhibition, met a guy who travels the world with a typewriter writing poems, and a day later we are prototyping a storytelling card game.
In Pico, the one thing that seems to always brings co-creative energy is music. We had an amazing jam session few days ago, and it blows my mind how good are the songs that come out. Nonetheless, a monthly (or so) jam session doesn't seem to be enough of creative play-space for me. As I sense deeper into it, I'm realising that Pico is a perfect personal retreat island. A space to Be, connect with nature and self, face myself, and ground deeply - which is something that I definitely need in my life.
How to connect both?
At the end of February, a return of dear Friend will definitely bring more clarity on building a village in Pico, in a perfect space to do it. In a perfect world scenario, two villages would emerge, because the more the merrier. After all, one of the dreams is to weave Azores Regenerative Network, connecting beautiful projects in the islands with sailboats. And after creating the book on How To Build A Regenerative Village, I have a blueprint in my hands.
To be continued.
In the meantime, I'm redesigning my career, which seems to a yearly thing. Last January I hit one of the lowest points in my life, facing the demons of scarcity thinking, personal flaws, and all kinds of shadows. It wasn't pretty. As I look upon 2022, I feel that I have stepped in my power, and found a role to play in the world, which is a huge thing for me. The problem however, is to find a way to connect my ideal lifestyle (which I'm quite clear about), my role to play (which is now much clearer than last year), with generating abundant income.
I never really learnt about money. I have some traumas and limiting beliefs around it, and while I've been working through them this year, there's still the very practical step ahead of me, which is designing a new offer –> aligned with my heart, skillset, real-world needs, and bringing unprecedented abundance.
I have a lot of pieces on my whiteboard already. The journey continues.
What I've been up to:
I've been playing with the concept of consistency through play, and created a video course with a funky yearly review process. If you're looking for a fun way to look back at your 2022, I invite you to jump onboard!
The fun part about the course above is my creative process. I built the course with carrrds (here's a 1m36 video with a sneak peak), and it seems like I discovered a format I really enjoy - create one card per day, turn it into a short video, and publish immediately as a lesson. Carrrds are becoming a big part of my work, and I intend to play more with them in the coming months.
Even better - next weekend I'll be hosting a 2022 Review Retreat in Faial.
I'm documenting the emergence of European Node of Enspiral. Check out this twitter thread to follow along.
Building a prototype of Mycelium Network - a digital channel for expressing and meeting needs.
Reading Semiosis - and really enjoying a plant being one of the core characters of the book.

Gift for Patreons:
I'd love to transition towards the Gift Economy, and a challenging part of the process is to trust in financial support for my work from people like you. I invite you to join my Patreon to encourage this journey. This time, I'm sharing a code for a free access to my Yearly Review course ☺️.
