Happy New Moon!
The last moon cycle was really abundant in experiences, people, and a sensation of continuous flow.
Here are a few exciting things I'd like to share with you:
My Very First Art Residency
This is really all about the power of framing.
I moved to another house for the summer, and instead of calling it a "move" I decided to frame it as an art residency.
One of the guiding questions for the coming months is for me to understand if I want to move back to arts as a career, or keep it just as a fun thing I do. During my residency, I want to create a fundraising event to fund activities of an art collective I'm catalysing in the island, as well as explore ways of bringing income through my art, and, most importantly, actually create art.
👉 I'm documenting my art residency here.
The Joys of Solo Adventures
A few days ago I went to Faial island for a walk. In two days, I hiked approximately 70km, climbed a few vulcanos, explored some magical forests, and connected with the energy of the island.
It really is a stunning place.
I've concluded my walk with two days in the city of Horta (which while tiny, still feels like a city) and enjoyed its vibrant energy. I then went back to my island, and climbed Pico (2351 m) at night to enjoy glorious Sunrise from the top.
While my legs are a bit tired from the trip, my soul feels full of energy. This journey was an excellent reminder that while adventures is something I want to share with people I love, I can also meet this need on my own.
And it feels like I might be off to another island for a little walk very soon.
If Pico is the World, then Azores is the Universe.
After a year and a half in this tiny island, I still can't get enough of it. I keep meeting new fascinating people regularly, and I have a continuous feeling of infinite possibilities opening up, especially since our Summer Gathering. Even if Pico is a tiny island, it certainly doesn't feel that way for me.
But after spending some time in Faial, and getting to know the energy of this island, as well as a few people and projects, I can't shake off the feeling that the most wonderful thing about living in Pico is being a part of an archipelago. There is not one, but nine islands, each with its distinct flavour and projects.
I'm also noticing, that I'm much more keen on exploring connections with people who are here for the long game, rather than travellers passing by. I still enjoy single-serving connections, but after witnessing the power of growing things together slowly, it's more of what my heart desires at the moment.
I can see myself as a archipelago-wide community catalyst, travelling between the islands on a sailboat and helping people come together to create more wonderful things, document them, and share with the world.
One Second Per Day
I used to do these one-second-per-day videos a few years ago, but then I stopped. The last one of them is still something I come back once in a while.
After a conversation with a friend (who happens to be an awesome youtuber), I decided to get back to it. Here's the first one (started half way through the last Moon cycle). Let's see if I'll keep it up for longer this time.
Is Habit Coaching Fun For Me?
I've been coaching a friend of mine and I've been really enjoying the process. It also seems to work quite well for them ⤵️
I know that I'm good at it, but that doesn't mean that it's something I actually want to do. However, I've decided to give it a serious shot to figure this out. Let's see what happens.
What I'm Manifesting Next ✨
Receiving a sailboat as a gift.
Finding the right piece of land for me to steward.
I've added a possibility for people to send a one off financial contribution to support my work via Buy Me A Coffee
There's one more thing I'm manifesting, but I'll keep it secret for secret reasons.
Sending you a big wave of Love and Atlantic energy 💜
