Moonly Review 🌔 From the Kingdom of Seagulls into the Dust
Where Michał completes a chapter on Grayhound and journeys Nowhere
I'm finally finding the energy to channel the experience of the past Moon Cycle into this electronic letter to you. Hi.
I'm now in my Nowhere post-post-post-post decompression, or rather recompression - a space where I resurface to the world out-of-the-playa and channel the energy catalysed in the desert into meaningful connections and projects.
Wow.
I'm mesmerised, and so fucking alive. This was the most powerful Burn of my life so far and it feels that my internal patterns of limiting beliefs have been overridden. It's a good feeling.
How did this happen?
I am a part of all that I have met;
Yet all experience is an arch wherethro'
Gleams that untravell'd world whose margin fades
For ever and forever when I move.
The Moon cycle started in Douarnanez aboard Grayhound, a beautiful sailing ship aboard which I have spent 2 months, and found myself in love. After crossing all the way from Faial Island in the Azores, about which I wrote in my previous letters to you, we have landed in the ship's base - Douarnanez in Bretagne. We took the boat out of the water and spend some time living suspended in the air surrounded by an insane amount of seagulls.
Witnessing a ship leave the water into the air is a powerful sight, and living aboard it when it's hanging on a few blocks of wood is totally trippy.
I even decided to start learning the magnificently complex language of seagulls, which led to a mysterious encounter with Vortex at Nowhere. I love how energy lines connect in the most mysterious ways.
My Grayhound chapter ended only 3 weeks ago and yet it feels like a few lifetimes have passed. And yet - all these precious moments were preparing me for what was to climax at Nowhere.
Speaking of preparation, I need to mention Sharon, a dear friend met a few months ago in Amsterdam, who took me out of the boot for a short but powerful retreat. Hi Sharon, you might be reading this, so let me just express again how powerful the time we shared was. Connecting with a fellow relentless master creator with infinite playful energy was exactly what I needed to shift gears from the boat life into the to art life. As I returned for the last days aboard Grayhound I was already feeling the presence of Nowhere.
The dessert was not only calling - my Soul was already there.
So my Shaman Brian picked me up and we begun a magnificent journey together, from the beautiful Bretagne (which I feel very charmed with and feel like my time here is not yet concluded), across the vastness of France, all the way to Nowhere.
The last stretch of the trip was insane and it's a memory that will stay with me forever. I won't share in a published written text though - I'll keep it for our in-person time.
We arrived at the end of the day, to witness our camp's freshly purchased container, two vans, a car, and the Playa in it's blank state canvas stage - ready for the dreams to be manifested.
And then, in three days, we built a city.
Nowhere is a power place for me, not just a party. And this time my energy was insane. I barely took any substances, I witnessed all Sunrises but one, and barely slept. I had no phone, or clock, so no alarm - my body would take me out of sleep after 2 hours and I was full of energy to dance, create, play, journey, connect. And now there's memories and feelings anchored forever in my body. The sunrise dance in Loophole, where I climbed the platform and radiated so much energy that soon a whole tribe surrounded me to dance together. The dance in the middle of a storm, with amazing violinist adding the layer of deep emotions to the delicious electronic music blasting on Acid Friday. The octopus and seagull inside the Eye on the Playa. The interactions with Scribe. The Greenhouse. Meeting a fellow Card Wizard and receiving a Card inside a Mushroom Temple. Deep processing inside the Rabbit Hole. Kissing a woman that intimidated me with her beauty. So many little snapshots and beautiful moments shared with beautiful people. Too many to name here. It stays in the memory of my body.
I’ll name one thing though - rising the mast of our ship. That was something special and it was a big dream coming true.
A 6m mast that you can climb, one of the highest spots on the playa, with a pair of dragon sails, all wonderfully lit and beaconing to all the sailor burners to gather.
A friend gave me a powerful word-gift: Build it, and the hippies will come. So we did, and they came indeed.
As I'm now resurfaced into the reality out-of-playa (but tbh, Playa is a state of mind, and my life is always a Playa) I've set the ground for Burner Sailors to gather and received sooo much interest in shared sailing trips. The path that I was dreaming of is now set - and it begins with coming back to one of my favourite cities in the world - Amsterdam, and revisiting a boat that was my home this winter and take it for a Boat Burn.
And my Cards, damn - I discovered the final piece that makes the performance side of Cards ready for the gallery spaces around the world. I hosted a session in a 13th century castle, in French, when feeling low on energy. I am freaking READY for this. So now I'm looking for a space in Amsterdam to begin my Wild Cards Installation.
And the other side of cards, the facilitation and creating meaningful things in person is also flowing - I'm hosting a mastermind in October in Switzerland with two dear friends with whom I have a feeling we're a golden collabo match for that kind of adventures. SOOO Exciting.
I feel so full of love and energy and capacity like never before. Let's ride the wave until it dips again into the shadow work at the end of the cycle. I'm excited for that part as well!
Finally, a moment of Celebration!
My Moonly Letters have now 100 people reading. I'm so grateful for your presence, your moments of attention, your replies and comments, and just knowing that you are there, sharing this journey with me, and giving me the opportunity to process my life through words. Thank you for Being!
Love and Light,
Michał
