Today I felt like making some changes to my room. I put some music on, grabbed a drill, made a few holes, and hung a huge elephant on the wall.
I also ended up rearranging my room:
1) I created a little storage unit using two sets of drawers and placing one on the other. On top of it, I’ve added a pipe to hang my clothes (and a set of asalato, which must be one of the coolest instruments ever).
2) I also moved my treasure chest into a new position. It fits so nicely with the elephant and it’s my favourite corner for journaling and creating art.
Now the only thing missing is a portable table to add on top of the chest. I’ve decided to build one myself, to practice working with wood (my current experience is zero). I must admit that doing some manual labor today felt great—it reminded me of hours and hours spent playing with Lego when I was a kid. I’d like to set an intention of creating more space for this kind of activities. It’s a perfect balance for all the intellectual work I’m doing.
Clearly enjoying myself.
